Stutz Delivers North America’s Largest Solar CPV Project

June 08, 2010

Stutz Artiano Shinoff & Holtz was pleased to have represented Victor Valley Community College District in the largest concentrated Solar Photovoltaic (PV) project in the nation. The system was unveiled at VVCCD’s May 25th Grand Opening Celebration, held at the main campus.

Stutz Partner, Bill Pate, was instrumental in providing legal services in the areas of planning, Request for Proposals, contract negotiations, purchase, and delivery of this unique grid-tied system. It will produce 2.6 million kilowatt-hours of energy to furnish approximately 30% of the main campus’s electricity and will become a focal point for the college in new academic and technical curriculum to prepare students for careers in renewable energy.

“It is great to see how community colleges can reduce operating costs and become a training partner in the new energy economy. This project was completed in record time, just six months from release of the RFP. ” comments attorney Bill Pate.
