Sue Gilmor has experience in the defense of school district, community college, and public entity employers in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, wrongful termination and negligence matters. Her trial experience includes federal and state court defending harassment charges and wrongful death cases. Ms. Gilmor also practices in the area of construction defect.
Sue’s advisory experience includes formulating policy and procedure manuals for community college campus police and revising policies to conform with new statutes. Sue works with the human resources departments of community colleges and school districts in matters ranging from whistleblower statutes to compliance with ADA statutes. Sue’s background includes knowledge of the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Governmental Immunities afforded to public entities. She has conducted several internal investigations for public entities resulting in corrective and preventative actions.
Sue is admitted to all State Courts in California, as well as the Southern and Central District Courts. She is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the San Diego Defense Lawyers and has been practicing law for six years.
